SURPRISE: Piers Morgan SLAMS Meryl Streep Over Trump

I seriously think many on the left is badly informed, out of touch with reality – because they’re not interested

Meryl Streep gave a speech in acceptance of a Lifetime Achievement award last night at the Golden Globes — one of many opportunities for rich, Hollywood elites to pat each other on the back — in which she showed her massive elitism and took big swipes against millions of Americans, President-elect Donald Trump, and the truth. In response, Piers Morgan hit back with an excellent piece in the U.K. Daily Mail that dismantled her massive hypocrisy.

Morgan wrote about his respect for Streep as a person and an actress, noting that “when she speaks, the world listens.” But he went on to dissect the hypocritical speech:

She began by saying that Hollywood, foreigners and the press are ‘the most vilified segments of American society right now’.

At which point the cameras panned out to hundreds of the richest, most privileged people in American society sitting in the audience in their $10,000 tuxedos and $20,000 dresses, loudly cheering this acknowledgement of their dreadful victimhood.

She then said that if all the ‘outsiders and foreigners’ were kicked out of Hollywood, ‘you’ll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts, which are not the arts.’

Wow.

I haven’t heard such elitist snobbery since Hillary Clinton branded Trump supporters ‘a basket of deplorables’.

Streep continued in her ignorant, elitist speech to attack Trump: “There were many powerful performances this year that did breathtaking, compassionate work.”

“But there was one performance that stunned me. It sank it[s] hooks in my heart, not because it was good – there’s nothing good about it. But it was effective and it did its job. It was that moment when the person asking to sit in the most respected seat in our country imitated a disabled reporter. Someone he outranked in privilege and power and the capacity to fight back.”

“It kind of broke my heart when I saw it,” Streep cried, “and I still can’t get it out of my head. This instinct to humiliate when it’s modelled by someone in the public platform, by someone powerful, filters down into everybody’s life because it kind of gives permission for other people to do the same thing.”

Morgan then pulled apart her hypocrisy piece by piece. He explained that the incident Streep referenced has two big problems — first, it happened back in 2015 and with another Golden Globes in between that incident and this award show, no mention of it was made.

Second, and here’s the kicker that leftists really struggle with, it never happened, at least not they way Streep and the left have portrayed it. There has been plenty of evidence shown, and Trump himself has said, that he never mocked the disabled reporter in question. Trump used the same gesture several other times to indicate that someone was flustered — not in reference to any disability.

Third, the reporter Streep claimed to be so concerned about — but not enough to actually look into the facts — is hardly “powerless.” No, in fact, Serge Kovaleski is a Pulitzer prize winner who works as an investigative journalist at the New York Times.

Hardly “powerless.”

As Morgan pointed out, the NYT is also the paper that has bashed Trump for decades. It also provides a significant platform for many of these poor powerless liberals to hit back against mean old Trump — and they do.

Streep went on to say that “disrespect invites disrespect. Violence incites violence. When the powerful use their position to bully others, we all lose.”

Morgan completely dismantled this ridiculous level of hypocrisy when he discussed Hollywood and Streep’s own dirt:

You’d be hard-pushed to find an industry that encourages more disrespect and violence than Hollywood.

A place where rich powerful people make billions of dollars by regularly pandering to the lowest common denominators of sexism, racism, homophobia and misogyny.

And happily exploit ever more hideous, graphic violence to make a fast, easy buck.

And seethe from every tinsel-encrusted pore with the very kind of nasty, power-based bullying that Meryl Streep claims to be so incensed by in Trump. …

To highlight just one example of Streep’s shocking hypocrisy, what about the 2003 Oscars when she leaped to her feet and gave child rapist Roman Polanski a standing ovation after he was announced as winner of Best Director for The Pianist?

Clearly, their collective high moral values are a movable feast.

Streep claimed that the press will “need us to safeguard the truth.”

Now that’s hilarious, as Morgan noted, given the massive bias from the mainstream media that was in the tank for Hillary Clinton. And also this:

The mainstream US media, having gleefully fuelled Trump’s candidacy for months to suit their own self-serving commercial interests, then turned on him like spitting cobras when he looked like he might actually win.

It’s also a fact that no president in modern times has been so anti-press, or so intent on attacking press freedom, as Barack Obama, one of Streep’s heroes.

Under his administration, the US government has set a new record for withholding Freedom of Information Act requests. Obama’s also used the Espionage Act to prosecute whistleblowers who leak to journalists more times than all previous administrations COMBINED.

Morgan concluded that Streep could have used her platform to really call for unity and tolerance, but instead decided to go down a much different route: “Meryl, I still love you dearly, but you had a chance to bring your country together last night and you blew it. ”

Exactly.

Why do CO2 lag behind temperature?

71% of the earth is covered by ocean, water is a 1000 times denser than air and the mass of the oceans are 360 times that of the atmosphere, small temperature changes in the oceans doesn’t only modulate air temperature, but it also affect the CO2 level according to Henry’s Law.

The reason it is called “Law” is because it has been “proven”!

“.. scientific laws describe phenomena that the scientific community has found to be provably true ..”

That means, the graph proves CO2 do not control temperature, that again proves (Man Made) Global Warming, now called “Climate Change” due to lack of … Warming is – again – debunked!
