Back in 2011, Obama and his environmental cronies came up with a new policy that banned water bottles from national parks in an attempt to “reduce our carbon footprint.”
But thanks to President Trump, we can now stay hydrated while hiking around Yellowstone, as he’s now ENDED this ridiculous policy.
This is just another one of Obama’s completely useless policies that achieved nothing but wasting money and creating more government “red tape” and bureaucracy.
Thankfully, President Trump is working to undo Obama’s disastrous “legacy” piece by piece, and is allowing the American people to breathe (and stay hydrated) again!

The National Park Service announced last week it was ending the so-called Water Bottle Ban, which the Obama administration implemented in 2011 to “reduce our carbon footprint.”
“In its commitment to providing a safe and world-class visitor experience, the National Park Service is discontinuing Policy Memorandum 11-03, commonly referred to as the ‘Water Bottle Ban,’” the agency said in a statement.
The National Park Service said the policy was counterproductive and only 23 out of 417 parks implemented the ban.
“The 2011 policy, which encouraged national parks to eliminate the sale of disposable water bottles, has been rescinded to expand hydration options for recreationalists, hikers, and other visitors to national parks,” the agency said. “The ban removed the healthiest beverage choice at a variety of parks while still allowing sales of bottled sweetened drinks. The change in policy comes after a review of the policy’s aims and impact in close consultation with Department of the Interior leadership.”
The Obama policy memorandum “strongly encouraged” parks to stop selling plastic bottles of water for the “great symbolism” it would convey, even though the policy “ran counter” to the administration’s “healthy food initiative.”
Parks could ban the sale of water bottles after they conducted a lengthy review, which included a consultation with the public health office, “visitor education” on water bottles, and submitting to a yearly evaluation of their program.
The Obama administration said banning plastic water bottles could have a “significant environmental impact” by training Americans into being more “environmentally responsible” in their homes.
“Such a policy will allow the NPS and park partners to reduce their environmental footprint, introduce visitors to green products and the concept of environmentally responsible purchasing, and give them the opportunity to take that environmental ethic home and apply it in their daily lives,” the policy stated. “It will also be a significant step in reducing our carbon footprint.”
The Trump administration now says Americans should be able to decide if they want to buy a bottle of water to stay hydrated on a hike.

Plastic water bottles pollute way more than plastic soft drink bottles and plastic water bottles emit way, way more “carbon” than plastic bottles with soft drinks. I only used plastic water bottle once and, it’s true, behind me on the trail there were dozens of diamonds (carbon).
A joke, of course, but here’s something to ponder, why not remove plastic bottles with soft drinks at the same time?
Because .. Can it be, can it possible be that some of the water producers were competing with the soft drink producers?
If so, doesn’t this just show how corrupt Barry O. Bummer was? .. sorry is?
Election contributions from soft drink producers – not only a token of support for their policy, also a way to use the government power to stifle competition.
What Is Carbon Pollution?

An increasingly shrill climate alarmist crusade has told us that ‘carbon pollution’ is a great danger to our planet. To ‘prove’ their point they show images of black smoke. The inference being that carbon dioxide (CO2) is dirty and foul. It isn’t. Every breath we exhale is carbon dioxide. It is neither black and dirty nor dangerous to life. Co2 is pumped into greenhouses to promote healthy plant growth. In fact, the more CO2 we emit, the greener the earth becomes.

How does this compare with the “carbon pollution” that politicians and so-called “green” pressure groups refer
to when they raise concerns about the human-produced “carbon pollution”?
Maybe you’re not aware of it, but the “pollution” that those holier-than-thou persons refer to is in fact carbon
dioxide, a colourless, odourless gas that we all breathe out at 40,000 parts per million (ppm). If you wanted to see carbon dioxide, just breathe out and you’ll agree that it can’t be seen and is in fact one of the most miraculous gases in our precious atmosphere: it is the gas of life!
Trees, plants, wheat, barley and all the goods that are literally green, all need carbon dioxide to grow and feed
us or shelter us or provide the most fantastic array of colours to please the eye. Earth is also not “warmer than it should be” due to atmospheric carbon dioxide or an imaginary “greenhouse effect”.
