Alex is good at what he do, but science don’t seem to be his cup of tea claiming CO2 is a “warming gas.” In the real world that is not possible, CO2 do not produce energy, it doesn’t prevent convection and it does not “trap” heat.
The energy (the heat) in the atmosphere comes from the surface. The atmosphere cools by minumum – 0,6 C. / 100 meters as you ascend (Adiabetic Laps Rate). That fact alone should put the matter to bed for good.
A cool atmosphere can not warm a surface that is already warmer, i.e. warm its own heat source.

The only thing we know for sure, 100% certainty, – plant food (CO2) do not make the atmosphere heat its own heat source (the surface). You can even throw whole plants up in the air, still no warming!!
Anytime someone talks about a mean global temperature anomaly show them this plot that puts it in context of the natural variability of temperatures on the planet at any given time. It’s a statistical trick to zoom in on the last bit of warming and exaggerate the scale. #climate
