Biden To Announce New Rules Helping Up To 500K Illegal Immigrants Receive Permanent Residency

Published June 18, 2024

President Joe Biden is expected to announce new rules on Tuesday that will protect up to half a million illegal immigrants from deportation as his presumed opponent, Donald Trump, signals that he will conduct mass deportations if he wins a second term in the White House.

The Biden administration’s new policy would ease the pathway to permanent residency for illegal immigrants married to U.S. citizens, The New York Times reported, citing officials familiar with the plan. It was first reported last week, and Tuesday’s formal announcement would mark the 12th anniversary of President Barack Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), which protected some migrants who entered the U.S. illegally as children from deportation.

Biden administration officials who were briefed on the new policy expect that it could affect up to 500,000 illegal immigrants, but the exact number remains unclear, according to the Times. Under the new rules implemented by the Department of Homeland Security, some illegal immigrant spouses of U.S. citizens would be given an easier path to apply for permanent residency and work permits.

The president is also expected to announce a separate rule on Tuesday that would help DACA recipients, commonly referred to as “Dreamers,” receive work visas. Biden’s rules on illegal immigrants come as he faces an ongoing crisis at the southern border and voters voice their concerns about illegal immigration ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

Despite withering criticism, President Joe Biden has vowed to make the US immigration system “more just”
Published June 18, 2024

President Joe Biden is set to announce a new policy that would protect hundreds of thousands of undocumented spouses of US citizens from deportation, according to administration officials.

The issue of immigration has proven an election-year headache for Mr Biden, who recently issued a sweeping executive action to curb record migrant arrivals at the US-Mexico border.

The new policy will apply to those who have been in the country for at least 10 years and will allow them to work in the US legally.

The White House believes more than 500,000 spouses will benefit.

Mr Biden has vowed to make the US immigration system “more fair and more just”. Polls show that the issue is a primary concern for many voters ahead of the presidential poll in November.

The White House also believes the new spouses policy will benefit 50,000 young people under 21 whose parent is married to an American citizen.

It marks the most significant relief programme for undocumented migrants already in the US since the Obama administration announced the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or Daca, in 2012.

The announcement comes ahead of an event on Tuesday marking the 12th anniversary of Daca, which shielded over 530,000 migrants who came to the US as children – known as Dreamers – from deportation.

Why do CO2 lag behind temperature?

71% of the earth is covered by ocean, water is a 1000 times denser than air and the mass of the oceans are 360 times that of the atmosphere, small temperature changes in the oceans doesn’t only modulate air temperature, but it also affect the CO2 level according to Henry’s Law.

The reason it is called “Law” is because it has been “proven”!

“.. scientific laws describe phenomena that the scientific community has found to be provably true ..”

That means, the graph proves CO2 do not control temperature, that again proves (Man Made) Global Warming, now called “Climate Change” due to lack of … Warming is – again – debunked!
