Rud Istvan in the article; “CMIP6 ECS” (above) claim that CO2 prevent IR radiation (energy, or heat) from escaping the Troposphere, which is not true. The atmosphere is too dense below 5-8 km regardless of composition of the different gases for the lower part of the Troposphere to cool by radiation, below 1 km. all measurable heat transport is done by convection, advection and water vapor, CO2 is 100% irrelevant.
It’s like claiming water cools by radiation from the bottom … When the fact is water cools by convecting energy (heat) to the surface of the body of water where it then evaporate (evaporative cooling) …
