Meet The People Arrested Outside Shapiro’s Berkeley Speech (Updated 18.09.2017)

Nine arrested for charges including carrying a banned weapon, disturbing the peace and assaulting police.

Among the nine arrested protesters was Fremont resident Hannah Benjamin, 22, who was taken in near Bancroft Way and Telegraph Avenue for “Battery on a Police Officer and carrying a banned weapon”:

Another arrested protester was San Francisco resident Sarah Roark, 44. Roark was also carrying a banned weapon. She was nabbed near Bancroft and Bowditch Street:

Another banned weapon-carrying protester who got himself arrested was Michael Paul Sullivan, 29, of Hayward, who was detained near where police grabbed Benjamin:

Around two hours after the event, Berkeley PD announced that they’d arrested a total of nine people, some of the details about whom the department issued a little later:

Here’s Eddy Robinson, 44, of Oakland, who was carrying a banned weapon near Dana Street and Durant Ave:

Next up: Kerem Celik, 18, hailing from Saratoga, who was nabbed for disturbing the peace near where Sullivan and Benjamin were arrested:

Berkeley PD has not yet released information on the other three who were detained Thursday night.

Below is a report by the Bay Area’s KRON in which the channel highlights a few of the arrests and interviews two people who showed up for the protests that appear to be fans of Shapiro. One of the interviewees, Amber, identifies as a member of the LGBT community and noted that the violent leftists are attempting to coopt the community to promote their fascistic anti-free speech agenda.

As Shapiro highlights in his response to the events at Berkeley, the evening proved to be a big success in large part because the police were actually empowered to do their jobs and not allow the violence-embracing Antifa to wreak havoc, as they’ve done so many times over the past year.

In preparation for the event, Berkeley took unprecedented steps, sealing off several buildings and parking lots and setting up concrete barriers around the campus to try to contain the anticipated Antifa violence. The cost for the additional police presence was reportedly $1.5 million.

San Francisco Chronicle CRUSHES Berkeley, Leftists Over Response To Ben Shapiro Speech

“How left must a speaker be to avoid causing a riot in Berkeley?”

In response to the outright hysteria seizing activists, faculty and administrators alike at the University of California Berkeley over the appearance of Daily Wire editor-in-chief Ben Shapiro, The San Francisco Chronicle asks a poignant question: “How left must a speaker be to avoid causing a riot in Berkeley?”

The Chronicle‘s Nanette Asimov begins the piece by noting that the 33-year-old Harvard grad, whose presence on campus for two hours has triggered extraordinary security measures from the university and local law enforcement, is not some white nationalist or far-right provocateur, or even a Trump supporter — he actually just espouses in a clear and direct manner “standard-issue conservative” views:

Ben Shapiro, a conservative speaker headed to UC Berkeley on Thursday evening, hasn’t mocked feminists, as right-wing performer Milo Yiannopoulos has done. He hasn’t boasted of being a “mean-spirited bigot,” as far-right author Ann Coulter has done. And, unlike Steve Bannon, ex-adviser to President Trump, Shapiro doesn’t even like the president.

Yet the Harvard Law School graduate, author and political commentator has drawn unprecedented security measures at UC Berkeley for his sold-out speech at the campus’ many-windowed Zellerbach Hall, and Berkeley city police have received permission from the City Council to use pepper spray on any violent protesters who show up.

These defense measures around a standard-issue conservative whose idea of provocative is to call California a “nut-job leftist state” spotlight this question: How left must a speaker be to avoid causing a riot in Berkeley?

The answer to Asimov’s question — as the nation is learning over the last year — is as radical left as the perpetually outraged social justice activists and their violence-embracing Antifa forces. Unless a speaker fully embraces the far-left’s views of intersectionality, anti-free speech codes, ubiquitous white supremacy, America as the enemy of all that’s good, etc., that speaker is now at risk of feeling the full force of the SJW/Antifa mob.

Asimov notes that the cost of law enforcement for the event is a stunning $1.5 million. As The Daily Wire has highlighted, both the university and the police department are implementing extreme measures, including shutting down multiple buildings and parking lots, creating a “concrete wall” around parts of the campus, offering free walking escorts for those who fear they might become victims of (left-wing) violence, and setting up safe spaces and prepping their counselors for anyone who is traumatized by the presence of a conservative with the guts to speak his mind on a college campus in 2017.

Why all of these extensive, unorthodox measures for a conservative Orthodox Jew speaker? Because Berkeley has witnessed firsthand what damage the social justice left can do to those they deem “fascists,” law enforcement, and public and private property.

Asimov cites one person who’s studied the far-left movement who notes that what Shapiro actually believes and says doesn’t actually matter to the radicals:

“It doesn’t matter what the guy’s going to say,” said Michael Heaney, a professor at the University of Michigan who studies the sociology of protest movements. “He could talk about the joys of apple-picking. What matters is that the counter-movement is trying to use the energy of the (event) to grow. This is an opportunity for them — and they are likely to seize upon it.”

Heaney is exactly right. Shapiro’s speech is a means for the radical left to keep the “counter-movement” growing.

Ben Shapiro’s Answer To Student’s Abortion Question Is Epic

A student asked conservative commentator Ben Shapiro a question about abortion at his Berkeley speech Thursday night, prompting Shapiro to engage in rapid-fire dialogue with the student.“Any time you draw any line other than the inception of the child, you end up drawing a false line that can also be applied to adults,” Shapiro said. “So either human life has intrinsic value or it doesn’t.”

Shapiro asked the student if he could at least agree that adult life has intrinsic value, to which the student responded that he believes “sentience” — the ability to perceive or feel things — gives something moral value, rather than being a human alone.

“OK, so when you’re asleep, can I stab you?” Shapiro asked, to which the student responded in the negative.

“OK, if you are in a coma from which you may awake, can I stab you?” Shapiro then asked.

“Well then … uhhh, no,” the student replied. “But that’s still potential sentience!”

“Do you know what else has potential sentience? Being a fetus,” Shapiro said.

The University of California, Berkeley spent roughly $600,000 to make sure no riots would erupt Thursday night, and his speech went without incident or interruption.

Why do CO2 lag behind temperature?

71% of the earth is covered by ocean, water is a 1000 times denser than air and the mass of the oceans are 360 times that of the atmosphere, small temperature changes in the oceans doesn’t only modulate air temperature, but it also affect the CO2 level according to Henry’s Law.

The reason it is called “Law” is because it has been “proven”!

“.. scientific laws describe phenomena that the scientific community has found to be provably true ..”

That means, the graph proves CO2 do not control temperature, that again proves (Man Made) Global Warming, now called “Climate Change” due to lack of … Warming is – again – debunked!
