We can’t stop winning and the Trump Effect CAN NOT BE STOPPED!
Thanks to the business atmosphere that Donald Trump has so artfully begun creating, many businesses see a bright future investing America.
One such company os Fiat, who plan to invest $1 billion dollars in Michigan and Ohio, creating 2000 jobs!
FCA, the U.S. arm of automaker Fiat-Chrysler, announced on Sunday that it would invest a total $1 billion in plants in Michigan and Ohio, which will add 2000 new jobs in the United States.
The announcement, in what the company said was the second phase of a plan it first made public a year ago, came days after Ford Motor Company decided to scrap a plan to build a facility in Mexico, instead opting to invest in a plant in Michigan.
Ford’s CEO cited demand, rather than the policies of President-elect Donald Trump, who has vowed to impose a “border tax” on companies that send jobs abroad.
“Consistent and combined with previously announced investments, FCA US is further demonstrating its commitment to strengthening its U.S. manufacturing base, and aligning U.S. capacity to extend the Jeep product lineup,” FCA said.
In a statement, FCA said it would retool and modernize its Warren Truck Assembly Plant to produce a new Jeep and Grand Wagoneers, while a facility in Toledo would build a new Jeep pickup truck. These plans will be in place by 2020, the company said.
The move “is a continuation of the efforts already underway to increase production capacity in the U.S.on trucks and SUVs to match demand,” the company said, adding that it would help solidify the U.S. as “a global manufacturing hub” for its flagship brands.
However, Fiat indicated it would still continue to produce at least one line, its Ram heavy duty truck, in Mexico.
“The added benefit of the investment in Warren is that it will enable the plant to produce the Ram heavy duty truck, which is currently produced in Mexico,” FCA said.
THE TRUMP EFFECT – Black & Decker Moving Jobs from Overseas to the USA
Black and Decker will not only be moving jobs to the USA, but constructing a brand new $35 million dollar factory. This is more proof that the Trump effect is in full swing and more companies are realizing it’s better to do the right thing and stay at home then pay a border tax and get lots of negative publicity.
From USA Today
One of the nation’s best-known toolmakers, Stanley Black & Decker, said Thursday that it will move more manufacturing back to the U.S. from overseas, including construction of a new $35 million factory after acquiring the Craftsman brand from ailing retailer Sears Holdings.
Expanding American manufacturing makes “business sense” amid “pervasive” uncertainty regarding the future of U.S. trade with China and Mexico, Stanley Black & Decker CEO James Loree told investors Thursday in a conference call.
Although he did not mention Donald Trump by name in his remarks to investors, Loree hinted that the move has the side benefit of inoculating his company from the possible effects of the president-elect’s threatened “border tax,” a tariff on imports.
“It’s going to be advisable to have more manufacturing in the U.S.,” Loree said.
Obama insisted it would take a “magic wand” to bring back jobs in the USA, but it turns out Trump’s magic wand is his business experience.
All Trump needs to do to continue to keep jobs in the U.S. is to make it clear to companies the incentives will go the right way if they do. This is negotiation 101. Something so simple for a real estate tycoon, yet totally foreign to a community organizer with no private sector success. Obama had no clue.
