After 46 migrants were discovered dead in a tractor-trailer south of San Antonio on Monday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott immediately put the finger at Joe Biden.
The governor wrote on Twitter, “Biden is to blame for these deaths.” They are the outcome of his dangerous open border policy. They demonstrate the fatal results of his failure to uphold the law.

Numerous other Republicans also attributed the incident to Biden’s immigration stances. “How many more people have to pass away before Dems give a damn,” tweeted Senator Ted Cruz. ”

As the state’s top elected official, Abbott is running for reelection and has made immigration a key issue in his campaign.
Beto O’Rourke, a former congressman from El Paso, who is running against him, also tweeted about the “devastating” news and the need for reform.

The incident is the most recent tragedy to claim the lives of migrants who were being smuggled into the United States from Mexico.

Following the discovery, three people were taken into custody, according to San Antonio Police Chief William P. McManus. He said nothing further about who they were.
The incident represents the deadliest attempted human smuggling on American soil since 2003, when 19 migrants perished while traveling from South Texas to Houston inside the back of an 18-wheeler.
