In the event that Pyongyang conducted a nuclear test, the United States, Japan, and South Korea promised a “strong and determined response” on Sunday.
North Korea recently conducted a record-breaking number of missile tests, which has raised concerns that their seventh such test may occur shortly.
On the eve of a crucial meeting with his Chinese colleague Xi Jinping, whom he would press to restrain North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, US President Joe Biden discussed the problem with his country’s two East Asian partners in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
In a joint statement, Biden, Fumio Kishida, the prime minister of Japan, and Yoon Suk Yeol, the president of South Korea, denounced the recent onslaught, which included an ICBM (ICBM).
The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the North’s official name, will be faced with a “strong and determined response from the international community,” the statement stated, abbreviating the whole phrase.
