Cold air means more precipitation
When air is pressed up against mountains it rises and cools in order to get over the mountains. Cool air holds less moisture, we see that in Bergen, Norway who is located below mountains and receive a lot of precipitation, same in India when the weather patterns sends moist air from the Indian Oceans up against Himalaya after months of the sun heating the continent.
More floods means the climate is cooling down, but no empirical data show any trend because the temperature is not changing
