The good news is that “leading environmentalist writer Rowan Jacobsen” has just told the world we need never again believe a word he says.
“To tell preposterous untruths in this ‘good’ cause is not just forgivable but a sign of superior morality. The bigger the whopper the more you must really care.”
This paragraph lasers in on the dangerous licence reserved for climate change alarmists and environmental activist groups to spread exaggerated claims and blatant falsehoods, designed to spread fear and belief in a man-made climate apocalypse.
Textbook propaganda.

Leading environmentalist writer Rowan Jacobsen declared the incredible structure dead, and wrote: “The Great Barrier Reef of Australia passed away in 2016after a long illness.
“It was 25 million years old.”
The incredible thing is that warmists actually write such stuff and possibly even believe it – yet it doesn’t matter. To tell preposterous untruths in this “good” cause is not just forgivable but a sign of superior morality. The bigger the whopper the more you must really care.

Yes, the Great Barrier Marine Park Authority says 22 per cent of coral cover died in the worst recorded bleaching event, but the reef has bounced back from past bleaching events. which are part of the ocean cycles.
In fact, in May, the authority reported that coral cover had actually increased 19 per cent over the past three years.
To claim the reef has “passed away” is beyond hyperbole.
