A 2018 letter from Michael Cohen’s lawyers admitting Trump knew nothing about the Stormy Daniels ‘hush money’ transaction re-emerged as the judge set the trial for April 15.
Last year the Daily Mail obtained a 2018 letter from Michael Cohen’s lawyer stating Cohen used his own personal money to pay Porn Star Stormy Daniels in 2016.
The letter also states that the Trump Org nor the Trump campaign reimbursed Michael Cohen for the $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels.
This directly contradicts Cohen’s testimony – not surprising given Michael Cohen is a convicted perjurer.
Trump has been accused of paying Daniels ‘hush payments’ through his then-attorney Michael Cohen in a scheme to silence her and stop the story about their alleged affair from being published in the National Enquirer.

RELATED: Cohen signals Trump ‘should be worried’ about hush money case
Published March 26, 2024
Michael Cohen, the ex-personal attorney of former President Trump, said his former boss “should be worried” about the prosecutors, witnesses and evidence that are coming his way after a judge set his hush money trial start date.
“He shouldn’t be worried about me. He should be worried about the Manhattan district attorney, the district attorney of New York prosecutors, he should be worried about the documentary evidence, he should be worried about all of the witnesses that are going to be coming into that trial simply because, as others have also appropriately put it, this is a simple case,” Cohen told MSNBC’s Jen Psaki on Monday.
The judge in Trump’s hush money case held a hearing Monday, and his lawyers battled with the state over new documents turned over in the case. The trial was scheduled to begin Monday, but after the documents came to light, it was delayed.
The judge ultimately decided to not further delay the trial, setting the new start date for April 15.

NEW YORK, New York (Reuters) — Donald Trump will ask a judge on Monday to delay or dismiss his trial on charges stemming from hush money paid to a porn star, citing thousands of pages of potential evidence about witness Michael Cohen that prosecutors turned over only weeks ago.
Cohen, Trump’s onetime lawyer and fixer, made a $130,000 payment to silence adult film actress Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election about a sexual encounter she said they had a decade earlier – an encounter Trump denies.
Lawyers for Trump, the former US president, accuse Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office, which brought the criminal charges, of trying to bury documents that could help them challenge Cohen’s credibility.
The documents came from the US Attorney’s office in Manhattan, which previously investigated the payment, but did not charge Trump. Cohen testified that Trump directed him to make the payment and went to prison after pleading guilty to violating campaign finance laws.
