People are ‘starting to wake up’ to the need for reliable energy sources

The people of California are learning a lesson “in the importance of reliable electricity” according to environmental policy expert Michael Shellenberger.
He said California saw its electricity rates rise six times more than the rest of the United States over the last decade “because of the transition to renewables, and the reason is the unreliability”.
It comes as rolling blackouts have been experienced across California over the past weeks.
“You can’t go shut down all of your reliable natural gas and nuclear power plants and try to rely solely on solar and wind … we’ve just become too reliant on solar and wind,” Mr Shellenberger told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“Clearly, I think people are starting to wake up to the fact that we need reliable sources of energy”.
He said, “what’s really embarrassing and unethical is the claim that shutting down a nuclear plant is somehow part of a climate change agenda”.
Doesn’t matter how rich, or poor you are when the incompetence and corruption is systematic and deep, which is always the result of any and all leftist ideologies, in California it can still get worse.
