If Infrared Radiation was Radiating Directly From the Surface of the Earth out to Space the Alarmists Might be Having a Point. The Rest of Us Would Have had no Wind or Clouds

I’ve been studying climate science since at least 2007 when I wrote to a science magazine here in Norway (Illustrert Vitenskap) explaining to them that CO2 do not make the climate change (back then called “Man Made Global Warming” later changed to “Climate Change” due to lack of … Warming, I know, you can’t make it up!). At the time, my first logical thoughts told me it has to be the continents and how they are located in relation to each other, i.e. the ocean currents. Rememeber the oceans are 360 times the mass of the atmosphere and how energy (heat) is distributed by the oceans has to be important.

Then we have CO2 .. How does it make the atmosphere warmer? Does it produce energy? No!

They say it “trap” energy (it doesn’t) – then what? Does it amplify the energy? No!

Does CO2 prevent convection? No!

So how do more CO2 make the atmosphere warmer? By radiation!!

Ok, how?

Below the cloud cower infrared radiation play no role due to the lower part of the atmosphere’s density, making all measurable energy transportation conducted by convection. That is why you have never seen empirical measurments of the “back radiation” (yeah, yeah, I know about the FAKE measurements). Empirical measurements are both transparent as to method, equipment, time, place etc. and it would be possible to replicate as many time as we want.

From about 1000 meters to 5000 meters the atmosphere gets less dense and radiation gradually takes over. The radiation that now exist above the cloud cover is vastly diluted and as a result it is much colder and it would be impossible for any of that cold energy to, even if it could, radiate back down to the surface to add heat to a surface that is always much warmer.

Ok, but what about if more CO2 delays cooling making the surface retain energy as heat longer?

Heat is rapidly conducted away and up in the atmosphere (warmer it is more conduction you get, it’s no coincidence that you get hurricanes when the air and the sea are as warmest in late summer and early fall for example around the Gulf of Mexico), there’s no logic as to why that would happen and there’s no evidence for any change due to more CO2, not in any data sets, not even in the geological records back when the CO2 level was over 7000 ppmv.

.. and, delayed cooling is not warming anyway, like a good thermos are good at preventing heat loss, but it doesn’t actual warm the content, the beverage further.

How do we know energy doesn’t radiate directly out to space?

For example, we know that energy that radiate from the solid face of the earth is being absorbed by water vapor, on average before it even raches 20 cm. from the surface where it started

How can we check to see if that is real, factual and not BS ..?

Look up in the sky at daytime, see the clouds. The clouds provide all the evidence we need to say, – no, infrared radiation do not radiate directly out to space.

In the deserts at daytime many a thirsty wanderer have been fooled by fata morgana, the mirage of water just a little further ahead. What they have seen is the water vapor forming a layer of warm moist just above the sand reflecting the blue sky.

71% of the earth’s surface is water, that means all radiation from the sun hitting water is also absorbed .. (I.e. not radiating out to space).

So where do the alarmists and activists find the infrared radiation that is constantly radiating directly out to space and being disturbed by naughty, naughty plant food??

They don’t!!

Why do CO2 lag behind temperature?

71% of the earth is covered by ocean, water is a 1000 times denser than air and the mass of the oceans are 360 times that of the atmosphere, small temperature changes in the oceans doesn’t only modulate air temperature, but it also affect the CO2 level according to Henry’s Law.

The reason it is called “Law” is because it has been “proven”!

“.. scientific laws describe phenomena that the scientific community has found to be provably true ..”

That means, the graph proves CO2 do not control temperature, that again proves (Man Made) Global Warming, now called “Climate Change” due to lack of … Warming is – again – debunked!
