Arizona GOP Chair Jeff DeWit resigned Wednesday amid controversy over a leaked audio recording in which he appeared to attempt to bribe former gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake to not to run for Senate.

DeWit, who had served in the role since January 2023, said in a statement that Lake’s team had issued him an ultimatum: “resign today or face the release of a new, more damaging recording.”

“I am truly unsure of its contents, but considering our numerous past open conversations as friends, I have decided not to take the risk,” DeWit said.

According to DeWit, the recording, first reported by the Daily Mail, was selectively edited and taken out of context. DeWit explained his comments in the recording by explaining that he had been exercising his duty as party chair to “assess and enhance the viability” of GOP candidates.

“I am resigning as Lake requested, in the hope that she will honor her commitment to cease her attacks, allowing me to return to the business sector — a field I find much more logical and prefer over politics,” he said in his statement.

An audio recording obtained by reveals the extraordinary moment when what appears to be Arizona’s top Republican official tried to bribe populist firebrand Kari Lake not to run in the state’s Senate race.

Jeff DeWit, 51, chair of the Arizona Republican Party, can be heard asking Lake, a close ally of Donald Trump, to name her price to stay out of politics for two years.

‘There are very powerful people who want to keep you out,’ he tells her in a conversation recorded at the start of March last year.

DeWit tells Lake, 54, one of the most public faces of the former president’s MAGA movement and a woman frequently spoken of as a 2024 vice-presidential pick, that he thinks Trump will lose and it is time to make way for someone else.

After asking her not to mention the conversation to anyone, he makes his first offer.

The Gateway Pundit reported last March, before Kari Lake announced her bid for U.S. Senate, she revealed that a person sent by “powerful people back East” attempted to bribe her “with a huge salary and a position on a board” to stay out of politics.

Lake, however, told the individual to pound sand and then later announced her campaign for Senate with President Trump’s endorsement.

Now, Tucson radio host Garrett Lewis reports that two sources close to the matter confirmed to him that it was Arizona GOP Chairman Jeff DeWit.

We have it on good authority that this is true, and more information is likely coming out shortly.

Still, DeWit has denied the claim to multiple sources:

DeWit has not responded to The Gateway Pundit’s request for comment…

Based on DeWit’s previous remarks, it is probable that he would try to get a pro-Trump candidate to stay out of politics, as he apparently did with Kari Lake.

In early 2023, DeWit, a close friend of billionaire donor and former DeSantis surrogate Jim Lamon, was caught on a recorded phone call making anti-Trump statements and declaring that he is “off the Trump train.” However, he denied the legitimacy of the tapes and lied about the context, calling the tape “chopped up,” “fake,” and a dirty campaign tactic, when asked by reporters.

Why do CO2 lag behind temperature?

71% of the earth is covered by ocean, water is a 1000 times denser than air and the mass of the oceans are 360 times that of the atmosphere, small temperature changes in the oceans doesn’t only modulate air temperature, but it also affect the CO2 level according to Henry’s Law.

The reason it is called “Law” is because it has been “proven”!

“.. scientific laws describe phenomena that the scientific community has found to be provably true ..”

That means, the graph proves CO2 do not control temperature, that again proves (Man Made) Global Warming, now called “Climate Change” due to lack of … Warming is – again – debunked!
