At Trump’s Request, RNC Withdraws Bid to Crown Him Early

Published January 25, 2024

The Republican National Committee withdrew a draft resolution that would have declared GOP front-runner Donald Trump the party’s presumptive nominee Thursday night after Trump himself said it shouldn’t, CNN reported.

RNC member and Trump ally David Bossie, a former campaign aide, proposed the draft resolution and was the one who withdrew it, according to the report.

CNN reported that the Trump campaign and Trump himself initially went along with the idea of the draft resolution but reversed course amid backlash.

That led to Trump pushing back on Bossie’s draft resolution in a social media post, saying Thursday he should earn it the “old fashioned way” — at the ballot box.

Further, Trump said it shouldn’t be done “for the sake of party unity.”

Trump’s response could have been considered surprising, before CNN’s report, given his pressure campaign on Nikki Haley to drop out of the race and his past bouts with the RNC over GOP debates.

“While I greatly appreciate the Republican National Committee (RNC) wanting to make me their presumptive nominee, and while they have far more votes than necessary to do it, I feel, for the sake of party unity, that they should NOT go forward with this plan, but that I should do it the ‘Old Fashioned’ way, and finish the process off at the ballot box,” Trump said in a post to Truth Social.

Former President Donald Trump gently nudged the Republican National Committee against enacting a proposal that would enshrine him as the party’s “presumptive nominee” for president.

“While I greatly appreciate the Republican National Committee (RNC) wanting to make me their PRESUMPTIVE NOMINEE, and while they have far more votes than necessary to do it, I feel, for the sake of PARTY UNITY, that they should NOT go forward with this plan,” Trump wrote on Truth Social Thursday.

“I should do it the ‘Old Fashioned’ way, and finish the process off AT THE BALLOT BOX. Thank you to the RNC for the Respect and Devotion you have shown me! “

The resolution was furnished by David Bossie, an RNC committeeman from Maryland former Trump 2016 deputy campaign manager, and comes as former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley continues to jockey with the 45th president for the party nod.

“Resolved, that the Republican National Committee hereby declares President Trump as our presumptive 2024 nominee for the office of President of the United States and from this moment forward moves into full general election mode welcoming supporters of all,” the resolution said.

Bossie’s pitch, first reported by The Dispatch and independently confirmed by The Post, cited Trump’s victories in the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary and argued that “money spent from this moment forward” would be more wisely used opposing President Biden.

NASHUA, NH – January 23: Former president Donald Trump speaks after he was projected to be the New Hampshire primary winner during a watch party on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Sheraton Nashua in Nashua, New Hampshire.

A Republican National Committee draft resolution that would have formally declared Donald Trump the Republican Party’s 2024 presumptive nominee was withdrawn Thursday amid pushback from the former president.

David Bossie, the RNC committeeman from Maryland who recently endorsed Trump and introduced the resolution, withdrew it, according to two sources familiar with the matter.

The Trump campaign had initially approved going forward with the resolution and the former president himself was also on board until a backlash began, a source familiar told CNN.

Trump said on his social media platform Thursday that the RNC should not move forward with the resolution, saying he appreciated the effort but was opposing it “for the sake of Party unity” and wanted to “finish the process off AT THE BALLOT BOX.”

His statement came amid concerns from Trump allies that the resolution could anger Republicans because of the perception that Trump was trying to stack the deck against former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, a source close to the former president said.

While the former president would have still needed to reach the delegate requirements necessary to win the nomination, if the resolution had been approved and the RNC had shifted to a general election mode, he would have access to the RNC’s data operation, benefit from fundraising with the RNC, and have the support of all of the committee’s ground operations. It would also have meant the committee would have been supporting Trump and effectively opposing Haley – an unprecedented break from the party’s past approach to the nominating process.

The resolution, which was being reviewed by the RNC earlier Thursday, was first reported by The Dispatch on Thursday. A draft copy of the resolution was obtained independently by CNN.

“RESOLVED that the Republican National Committee hereby declares President Trump as our presumptive 2024 nominee for the office of President of the United States and from this moment forward moves into full general election mode welcoming supporters of all candidates as valued members of Team Trump 2024,” the resolution reads.

Why do CO2 lag behind temperature?

71% of the earth is covered by ocean, water is a 1000 times denser than air and the mass of the oceans are 360 times that of the atmosphere, small temperature changes in the oceans doesn’t only modulate air temperature, but it also affect the CO2 level according to Henry’s Law.

The reason it is called “Law” is because it has been “proven”!

“.. scientific laws describe phenomena that the scientific community has found to be provably true ..”

That means, the graph proves CO2 do not control temperature, that again proves (Man Made) Global Warming, now called “Climate Change” due to lack of … Warming is – again – debunked!
