The mother of all campaign-ending truth bombs was just dropped on Hillary. The email just unearthed about the early hours of the Benghazi terror attack SHOULD cost Clinton the voters of every single American – even the ones related to her!
A top ranking Pentagon official was frantically trying to get in touch with Hillary Clinton after learning about the Benghazi embassy attack. The official had talked to his top generals and the Joint Staff, and had forces ready to quickly move into Libya.
“I just tried you on the phone but you were all in with S [apparent reference to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton],” reads the email, from Defense Secretary Leon Panetta’s chief of staff, Jeremy Bash. “After consulting with General Dempsey, General Ham and the Joint Staff, we have identified the forces that could move to Benghazi. They are spinning up as we speak.”
The forces at-the-ready to respond and save American lives, completely contradicts the sworn testimony Leon Panetta gave when hauled before Congress in 2013. The email was sent to the Defense Secretary at 7:19 p.m. Easter Time on September 11, 2012.
During his testimony to Congress during the Benghazi hearings, Pantetta told member of the Senate Armed Services Committee that “time, distance, the lack of an adequate warning, events that moved very quickly on the ground prevented a more immediate response” to the terror attack.
The military teams the Pentagon officials noted in the email would not likely have arrived in time to save the lives of Sean Smith and Christ Stevens. But, the forces would have likely been on the ground before the CIA annex was attacked and Tyrone Woods and Glenn Doherty were killed.
Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were former Navy SEALs. They were working as private security contractors for the CIA when the radical Islamic terror attack in Benghazi occurred, Fox News notes.
Judicial Watch’s Freedom of Information Act requests prompted the release of the Pentagon official’s email. “This leaves no doubt military assets were offered and ready to go, and awaiting State Department sign-off, which did not come,” a statement from the non-profit government watchdog, said.
We the People will not likely ever find out exactly what type of military forces were available or where they were planning to leave from. Parts of the email from Leon Panetta’s top-level staffer were redacted before the message was released to the public.
Jeremy Bash’s email was sent with the word “Libya” in the subject line. It was also sent to Hillary Clinton’s Deputy Chief of Staff Jacob Sullivan, the Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman, and Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources, Thomas Nides.
The House Select Committee on Benghazi is still reviewing all of the emails and related documents pertinent to the terror attack. The committee members were reportedly given the unredacted version of the email, along with Jacob Sullivan’s response.
