Border Crisis Leads to 13-Hour Wait Times for Legal Crossings at Texas-Mexico Ports of Entry

Published December 20, 2023

Residents in Mexico are furious as the ongoing border crisis along the Texas-Mexico border has practically frozen all legal crossings. In some locations, people legally authorized to enter the U.S. have to wait 13 hours in line to cross through a port of entry.

The long wait times come as overwhelmed and understaffed U.S. federal authorities are forced to deal with record-setting numbers of migrants illegally crossing the Rio Grande and making claims of credible fear to avoid deportation. This influx of migrants forced U.S. Customs and Border Protection to stop the rail bridge in Eagle Pass and close legal crossing lanes at its ports of entry to move officers to assist in transporting, processing, and caring for the thousands of migrants that are crossing the river each day.

Currently, there is only one crossing lane in use at the International Bridge #2 in Piedras Negras-Eagle Pass, a move that immediately led to extremely long wait times. Law enforcement sources in Coahuila revealed to Breitbart Texas that the line leading to the port of entry went back for miles from the river — all the way to the nearby city of Nava. Authorities in Mexico were forced to deal with scuffles and traffic issues as enraged locals grew tired of waiting in line. Some tried to cut in line.

  • 14,00 migrants crossed from Mexico into Eagle Pass, Texas in a 24-hour period
  • Border Patrol agents spread out across the border in South Texas have been reassigned to Eagle Pass as crisis requires all hands on deck
  •  Agents relocation has left roadside checkpoints, large areas of border unattended and open to drug and human smugglers

Border Patrol agents are no longer patrolling the US-Mexico border as a record number of migrants flood into America in what is being called an ‘absolute collapse’ in security.

In the last week, the number of migrants illegally entering the US through Eagle Pass and then claiming asylum – which legally forces the Border Patrol to give them paperwork allowing them to stay in the US while their asylum case is heard – has been climbing.

But starting Monday, the numbers exploded.

In the last 24 hours, 14,000 migrants rushed the popular migrant crossing spot that is home to just 30,000 Texans.

US Congressman Tony Gonzales tweeted a video showing a sea of migrants waiting under a bridge in Eagle Pass, the community he represents, waiting to be processed by US Border Patrol.

‘14,000+ crossed ILLEGALLY yesterday & 26,000+ already in custody – the HIGHEST in US history,’ the Republican posted online.

Christmas Day will be WORSE. President Biden has abandoned border communities like mine.’

The backlog of pending cases in the nation’s immigration courts has hit 3 million, as millions of border migrants have been released into the United States to seek asylum in the past three years.

It’s a shocking figure, but just the latest example of President Biden’s efforts to break the immigration enforcement system, likely to force a massive amnesty he has long sought.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas — among others — has accused former President Donald Trump of “gutting” the immigration system, but such claims are little more than projection.

Annual southwest border apprehensions exceeded 405,500 just once during the last presidency, in fiscal year 2019, when they hit 860,000. Trump responded with the successful “Remain in Mexico” program, driving illegal migration down again.

Apprehensions have subsequently exceeded 2 million in the past two fiscal years, setting a new all-time record (2.2 million) in FY 2022.

Worse, reports indicate agents are nabbing more than 12,000 illegal migrants per day of late, putting them on track for 4.3 million apprehensions this year, even as the administration allows 1,450 other migrants to preschedule their illegal entries using the CBP One app daily.

You can add in 30,000 other Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans the White House is ushering into the United States monthly at undisclosed interior US airports for two-year periods of “parole” (few will ever depart).

It’s no wonder the immigration courts’ dockets are ballooning.

Why do CO2 lag behind temperature?

71% of the earth is covered by ocean, water is a 1000 times denser than air and the mass of the oceans are 360 times that of the atmosphere, small temperature changes in the oceans doesn’t only modulate air temperature, but it also affect the CO2 level according to Henry’s Law.

The reason it is called “Law” is because it has been “proven”!

“.. scientific laws describe phenomena that the scientific community has found to be provably true ..”

That means, the graph proves CO2 do not control temperature, that again proves (Man Made) Global Warming, now called “Climate Change” due to lack of … Warming is – again – debunked!
