In the beginning there were cold
When humans began burning wood it gave them protection from predators, it gave them heat and new ways to prepare different and more food – and, of course it came with bad smoke pollution.
Today’s “Greens” would have banned these fires despite its obvious advantages (if they could).
Coal gave humans even more energy and powered the industrial revolution. Also coal was heavily polluting, especially in the cities.
Today’s “Greens” would also have banned coal back then (if they could).
Every new development came with huge advantages and there were nobody complaining because the upside was much bigger than the downside. Heat, health and long life vs. Cold, sickness, short life and death – basically! (Where do you think the tradition of picknic in the countryside came from, get away from the dirty city full of shit of animals, even humans on every street, and polluted air from coal powered factories?)
Today’s “Greens” wants us all back in caves, so to speak, at least those who’s allowed to live, – except themselves, of course they will not go back to no cave! (With a few exceptions, rich people that has already built their own “caves” in Hawaii, New Zealand etc.)
We do not lack energy, we will not run out. What we lack is humans, we need more humans, more brainpower (that means fewer evil, ignorant and corrupt “Greens”)!
