Three Republican state lawmakers are drafting legislation to remove President Joe Biden from the ballot in key swing states Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania, they told Breitbart on Friday.
State Reps. Aaron Bernstine of Pennsylvania, Charlice Byrd of Georgia, and Cory McGarr of Arizona said they’re fighting back at the “lawfare” being waged against former President Donald Trump in the aftermath of a Colorado Supreme Court’s ruling to remove him from the ballot there.
“We are joining forces to introduce legislation to REMOVE Joe Biden from the ballot in Georgia, Arizona, and Pennsylvania,” the lawmakers wrote, according to Breitbart. “The absurdity of radical Democrat judges removing Donald Trump from the ballot in Colorado will be a stain on the American political system for decades. By their very own interpretation of the law, Joe Biden is 100% not eligible to run for political office.”
The Colorado high court ruled 4-3 that Trump could be removed under the 14th Amendment of the Constitution under the insurrection clause. It’s expected that the U.S. Supreme Court will hear the case and reverse it, given that only Congress — not state courts — gets to define and act on insurrection, constitutional scholar Alan Dershowitz told Newsmax on Thursday.

The Republican-controlled House voted on Wednesday to launch an impeachment investigation into President Joe Biden, a formal step Republicans believe will allow them to better enforce subpoenas in court.
Rep. Matt Gaetz (FL-01) released a statement following the passage of a resolution to continue the impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.
“Today I voted to advance an impeachment inquiry against Joe Biden. The evidence developed against the Biden Crime Family is damning. They took bribes from corrupt foreigners for the financial benefit of themselves and their family. They created a vast web of shell companies to wash the money. They lied about it and pressured federal law enforcement to protect them from their crimes. An impeachment inquiry is warranted, though insufficient to deal with the harm they have caused,” said Rep. Matt Gaetz.
The 221-212 vote was along party lines.
“The impeachment power resides solely with the House of Representatives. If a majority of the House now says we’re in an official impeachment inquiry as part of our constitutional duty to do oversight, that carries weight. That’s going to help us get these witnesses in,” said Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio.

After months of investigations, depositions, and public hearings from the House’s Oversight, Judiciary, and Ways and Means Committees, the lower chamber voted to launch an official impeachment inquiry into the actions of President Joe Biden on Wednesday evening.
Calling the vote “a critical step,” House GOP leaders including Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA), Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN), and Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (R-NY), noted that, as “President Biden continues to stonewall lawful congressional subpoenas,” the formal inquiry puts Republicans “in the strongest position to enforce these subpoenas in court.”
“We do not take this responsibility lightly and will not prejudge the investigation’s outcome,” the House GOP leaders emphasized. “But the evidentiary record is impossible to ignore.”
Recapping the findings from investigations so far, the Republican lawmakers noted their probes have produced “witness testimony and bank records showing millions of dollars flowing to the Biden family from foreign adversaries” while “[w]itnesses have testified about the President’s numerous interactions with his family’s foreign clients,” information that came to light as the White House “repeatedly misled the public, shifted the goalposts, and stonewalled our investigation.”
