Hillary’s IT Aide Just Got Some Terrible News

The IT aide who helped set up Hillary Clinton’s infamous private servers may now face a grand jury for ignoring Congressional subpoenas — that is, if House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz has any say in it.

Chaffetz, who noted during Emailgate that “subpoenas are not optional” and voted to hold Pagliano in contempt of Congress, has now upped the ante with a letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions requesting that a grand jury be convened or charges brought against Pagliano for his refusal to honor Congressional subpoenas.

In a statement, Chaffetz asserted that allowing Pagliano’s flouting of Congressional subpoenas “to go unaddressed would gravely harm Congress’ ability to conduct oversight,” Fox News reported.

Maryland Democrat Rep. Elijah Cummings — the ranking Democrat on the oversight committee — predictably scoffed at the idea of respect for law and order.

“Apparently, Chairman Chaffetz and President Trump are the only two people in Washington today who think we should still be investigating Secretary Clinton,” Cumming said in a statement. He added: “The Oversight Committee can’t afford to be distracted by political vendettas against Hillary Clinton while our constituents are begging us to conduct responsible oversight of President Trump.”

And I’d bet plenty Republican constituents (and perhaps even some Dems) want to see Clinton finally face the music for her crimes. While we all know Congress can’t walk and chew gum at the same time, I’d imagine they could handle this situation while still keeping an eye on Trump if they really put their minds to it…

It’s also pretty rich for the left to whine about “political vendettas” with Congress waging an obstructionist war against Trump along with a deep state coup currently taking place in the government — sounds like a “political vendetta” to me.

No matter how hard the left tries to spin it, it’s not a “political vendetta” to want to see Clinton and her cronies held to task for their crimes. It’s called law and order.

Here’s what Pagliano’s attorneys had to say back in September, courtesy of Zero Hedge:

“You and the committee have been told from the beginning that Mr. Pagliano will continue to assert his Fifth Amendment rights and will decline to answer any questions put to him by your committee,” according to the letter.

“A subpoena issued by a Congressional committee is required by law to serve a valid legislative purpose and there is none here,” reads the letter, which refers to the committee’s efforts to force Pagliano to testify as a “naked political agenda” with “no valid legislative aim.”

As Zero Hedge reminded, Pagliano and a host of other Clintonistas were given immunity deals by the Department of Justice in return for their testimonies to the FBI about Clinton’s use of private servers (fat-lot of good that did …) but that deal reportedly doesn’t shield Pagliano from these potential charges.
