Wednesday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway weighed in Democratic vice-presidential nominee Sen. Tim Kaine’s (D-VA) effort to link Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s taxes to the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
She called it a “low point” for Kaine to have done so.
“Whoever gave him that sound bite ought to not be involved any longer,” Conway said. “I thought that was really a low point to try to conflate all those things together. 9/11 was a national tragedy. Hillary Clinton was in the United States Senate and did what many people did on a bipartisan basis, which was fight for the 9/11 first responders.”
