An older lady decided to ridicule officers in a cafe while she was “live” on Facebook.
The Iowa woman, named Melyssa Jo Kelly, was at a cafe when some officers entered the establishment. Kelly noticed the officers were wearing black armbands over their badges. It’s meant as a symbol for remembrance and respect for fallen officers. The officers in the cafe were wearing the armbands in solidarity for two Des Moines officers that were killed in the line of duty.
But, Kelly wasn’t having it, and decided to voice her opinion about police officers, loudly and while on Facebook Live.
The cafe owner asked Kelly to leave but she refused.
After the incident, Kelly was ordered to pay fine on four counts of disorderly conduct, two counts of interference with official acts, and one count of trespassing.
