Former President Donald Trump may have put himself in line for another $10,000 fine for violating a gag order placed on him in his civil fraud trial in New York when called Judge Arthur F. Engoron “crazy” and “Radical Left.”
Trump made the statements Thursday morning on Truth Social, the social media platform he founded in 2021.
“The Judge in the New York State A.G. case refuses to accept the overturning of his decisions by the Appeals Court,” the former president wrote. “This is a first in the history of the State!
“HE HAS GONE CRAZY IN HIS HATRED OF ‘TRUMP,’” he added (emphasis original throughout).
“Also, their ‘STAR’ witness just admitted his statements were all a big lie. He broke down in court. The Radical Left Judge said he doesn’t care,” Trump continued in his post.

Former President Trump again attacked the New York judge presiding over his civil fraud trial, calling him a “nut job” for ruling that his daughter Ivanka Trump must testify in the case.
In a Truth Social post Saturday, Trump called the judge “Trump hating,” and “unhinged.”
“I truly believe he is CRAZY, but certainly, at a minimum, CRAZED in his hatred of me,” Trump said. “This case should have never started, but now must be dismissed.”
Judge Arthur Engoron ruled this week that Ivanka Trump must testify in the case, despite being dropped as a defendant early on in the legal progress. Trump and his two sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, are expected to take the stand next month.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump is set to testify November 6 at his New York civil fraud trial, following his three eldest children to the witness stand in a case that threatens to disrupt their family’s real estate empire, state lawyers said Friday.
It was already expected that the former president and sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump would testify. The timing became clear Friday, after Judge Arthur Engoron ruled that daughter Ivanka Trump also must appear, rejecting her bid to avoid testifying.
The schedule sets up a blockbuster stretch in the trial of New York Attorney General Letitia James’ lawsuit. She alleges that the former president, now the front-runner to be the 2024 Republican presidential nominee, overstated his wealth for years on financial statements that were given to banks, insurers and others to help secure loans and deals.
Trump denies any wrongdoing and has called the trial a politically motivated sham. The case could strip Trump of some of his corporate holdings and marquee properties such as Trump Tower. James and Engoron are Democrats.
Donald Trump and the two sons are defendants in the lawsuit, but the state is initially calling them to the stand before the defense begins its case. The defense can then call them again.
In a surprise preview, Donald Trump ended up briefly testifying Wednesday to answer Engoron’s questions about whether an out-of-court comment was aimed at his law clerk. The judge had earlier barred participants in the trial from talking publicly about court staffers.
Trump said his remark wasn’t about the clerk; Engoron called that testimony “not credible” and fined Trump $10,000, on top of a $5,000 fine imposed days earlier over an online post about the clerk. Trump’s lawyers paid both fines on his behalf but still might appeal them, according to a court filing Friday.

Former President Donald Trump bolted out of a New York courtroom after the presiding judge, a Democrat, denied his request for a directed verdict despite the fact that the testimony of the state’s star witness fell apart.
“Trump immediately got up and stormed out of the courtroom with Secret Service agents chasing after him,” NBC News reported. “The move was not expected and appeared to surprise even his attorneys. Gasps could be heard within the courtroom.”
The events unfolded after Trump’s former personal attorney, Michael Cohen — the key witness in a $250 million civil fraud lawsuit brought by Democratic New York Attorney General Letitia James — admitted that the former president had never ordered him to falsify financial statements to artificially inflate his net worth.
At trial, Cohen testified that he could not recall whether Trump or the Trump Organization’s former CFO, Allen Weisselberg, had asked him to do so.
“So Mr. Trump never asked you to inflate the numbers on his financial statement?” Trump defense attorney Cliff Robert asked.
