In a shocking accusation made over the weekend, Russia‘s diplomats actually accused Obama of siding with ISIS!! The explosive accusation was followed by an emergency meeting of the U.N. where Obama’s ambassador Samantha Power lit into the Russians for the statement.
The Associated Press explains how they came to the shocking conclusion:
The United Nations the Security Council has scheduled an emergency meeting for Saturday night at Russia’s request to discuss a U.S. airstrike that Moscow says struck Syrian government troops battling the Islamic State group.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova says Moscow is demanding “full and detailed explanations about whether this was deliberate support of the Islamic State or another mistake.”
Zakharova was quoted by the state news agency Tass as saying that “after today’s attack on the Syrian army, we come to the terrible conclusion that the White House is defending the Islamic State.”
Russia furiously declaimed an American airstrike that accidentally struck the Syrian army, causing multiple casualties. Ironically, this is the same Syrian army defending Assad, who Obama said “had to go” more than five years ago.
That’s how weak Obama is – he’s now apologizing for doing a small part of what he promised to do 5 years ago.
