As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier this week, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson was spotted in Moscow, amidst swirling speculation that he was in Russia to interview President Vladimir Putin. Later, Tucker himself has confirmed the interview is happening and is explaining why he decided to go forward.
Tucker acknowledged the risks of meeting with such a high-profile leader. But he listed a few reasons why he decided to carry forward.
Tucker revealed the first purpose for conducting the interview is because it is the sworn duty of the press to inform the public.
Tucker goes on to elaborate on how big of a disaster the Ukraine War is and notes that it has wholly upended global and military trade alliances. He went on to bash the American networks for lying to their viewers about the actual state of the conflict.

Tucker Carlson has revealed why he is interviewing Vladimir Putin in Russia.
Carlson has openly criticised the Ukrainian cause and pushed Kremlin talking points regarding Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine on X, formerly Twitter.
Posting a video on X on Tuesday (6 February), he said: “There are risks to conducting an interview like this, obviously.
“Here’s why we’re doing it. First, because it’s our job. We’re in journalism. Our duty is to inform people, two years into a war that’s reshaping the entire world.
“Most Americans are not informed. They have no real idea what’s happening in this region, here in Russia or 600 miles away in Ukraine, but they should know. They’re paying for much of it in ways they might not fully yet perceive.”
