House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer announced Friday that the committee obtained bank records showing a $200,000 direct payment to President Joe Biden from his brother James Biden’s personal bank account.
The payment came on the same day James Biden received a $200,000 payment from Americore, a rural hospital operator, into that same personal account belonging to him and his wife Sara Biden.
In a news release, the House Oversight Committee noted that Comer issued three subpoenas in September for first son Hunter Biden’s and James Biden’s personal and business bank records.
In a video posted to social media Friday, Comer said, “This summer, Joe Biden said: ‘Where’s the money?’ Well, we found some.”
“A document that we’re releasing today raises new questions about how President Biden personally benefited from his family’s shady influence peddling of his name and their access to him,” the chairman continued.
“Bank records obtained by the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability have revealed a $200,000 direct payment from James and Sara Biden to Joe Biden in the form of a personal check,” Comer said.
The congressman recounted that on March 1, 2018, “Americore wired a $200,000 loan into James and Sara Biden’s personal bank account – not their business bank account.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) this week announced the committee obtained bank records revealing a $200,000 direct payment from James and Sara Biden to Joe Biden in the form of a personal check.
In September, Chairman Comer issued three subpoenas for Hunter and James Biden’s personal and business bank records.
In 2018, James Biden received $600,000 in loans from, Americore – a financially distressed and failing rural hospital operator.
According to bankruptcy court documents, James Biden received these loans “based upon representations that his last name, ‘Biden,’ could ‘open doors’ and that he could obtain a large investment from the Middle East based on his political connections.”
On March 1, 2018, Americore wired a $200,000 loan into James and Sara Biden’s personal bank account – not their business bank account. On the same day, James Biden wrote a $200,000 check from this same personal bank account to Joe Biden.
Chairman Comer released a video outlining this direct payment and the questions President Biden must answer for the American people.

WASHINGTON (TND) — Members of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability on Friday released bank records they say prove President Joe Biden benefitted from influence peddling.
The document in question is a $200,000 check from brother James Biden to Joe Biden dated March 1, 2018. It was sent to President Biden as a form of “loan repayment,” the check reads.
James, the committee claims, received $600,000 in loans from failing hospital operator Americore in 2018 “based upon representations that his last name, ‘Biden,’ could ‘open doors’ and that he could obtain a large investment from the Middle East based on his political connections.” He received a $200,000 wire from the company the same day he wrote the check addressed to Joe.
Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., said the findings raise crucial questions about the president’s past.
Even if this was a personal loan repayment, it’s still troubling that Joe Biden’s ability to be paid back by his brother depended on the success of his family’s shady financial dealings,” Rep. Comer said. “Does [Joe] have documents proving he lent such a large sum of money to his brother and what were the terms of such financial arrangement? Did he have similar financial arrangements with other family members that led them to make similar large payments to him?”
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., described the exchange as “a complete money laundering scheme” in a post to X, formerly Twitter, Friday.
“Democrats have been giving us h—, the media has not been believing our stories. On oversight, we have been investigating Joe Biden directly and his corruption through his family businesses because Joe Biden is the brand,” Rep. Greene said.
She continued by encouraging followers to share the “explosive news” widely.
