December 19. One gets the impression from most media coverage that nearly all attendees at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP28) in Dubai were motivated primarily by altruistic desires to “save the planet” from climate Armageddon. But this was not true at all. Unlike the first Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in Berlin in 1995, a low-key affair with fewer than 4,000 delegates, this year’s event attracted 97,000 attendees, many of whom took advantage of the climate scare to enrich themselves and their companies.
Over the past few years, the UN climate conferences have morphed into arguably the world’s largest and most expensive traveling trade shows. Large corporations – including oil and gas companies, even the CEO of Exxon Mobil, were at COP28. Major banks, consultancies, and climate tech startups were at COP28, making business deals on the sidelines.
To help us understand what really transpired at COP28, Tom’s guests today are Craig Rucker and Marc Morano, both of whom attended the conference to oppose climate alarmism and the UN’s attempts to create a climate lockdown.

Marc is the author of the blockbuster book Green Fraud: Why the Green New Deal Is Even Worse than You Think.
