Republican congressman Jeff Van Drew has slammed Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter Ella Emhoff for reposting a fundraiser link in support of Gaza’s children.
The 24-year-old recently shared a link to the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund with her 315,000 Instagram followers.
So far, the widely-shared appeal has raised almost $8 million for the non-profit, which was established by Americans to help youth in the besieged area, which has a population that is 50% children.
But Rep. Van Drew (R-NJ) claimed that any cash raised would almost certainly be used by Hamas, whose October 7 terrorist attack killed 1,400 Israelis and sparked the retaliatory strikes.
‘It’s of tremendous concern and I find it abhorrent,’ Van Drew, a member of the House Homeland Security Committee told the New York Post.
‘To be honest with you, I am kind of stunned by it. It’s disturbing to the maximum degree.’
Emhoff’s father is U.S. Second Gentlemen Doug Emhoff, who is Jewish, though she herself has said she does not consider herself to be Jewish.
It comes as President Biden called for a humanitarian pause in the bombings, which have so far killed more than 9,000 people, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.
‘I think we need a pause,’ Biden said, during a press conference earlier this week.
He stopped short of calling for a ceasefire, and said the ‘pause’ meant ‘time to get the prisoners out’, referring to the Israeli hostages.
While the President has stated he supports Israel, international support for the Gaza strikes has waned in the wake of reports of devastating hits on refugee camps and churches.

The stepdaughter of Vice President Harris is publicly raising money for Gaza, The Post has learned.
Ella Emhoff, 24 — whose father, First Gentleman Doug Emhoff, is Jewish — affixed a fundraising drive “supporting urgent relief for Gaza’s children” on her personal Instagram account.
It makes no mention of the scores of Israeli children murdered among the 1,400 innocent Israelis killed by Hamas terrorists on Oct. 7.
Her promotion puts the funding appeal in front of her 315,000 Instagram followers.
The fundraiser, which has netted more than $7.8 million so far, is being operated by the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund, a nonprofit based in Kent, Ohio, which raked in more than $21 million in 2021, according to ProPublica.
It’s unclear how much, if anything, Ella Emhoff has personally donated to the cause.

She affixed a fundraising drive “supporting urgent relief for Gaza’s children” on her personal Instagram account, which has 315,000 followers. She made an appeal “supporting urgent relief for Gaza’s children”—but did not mention the over 1,400 Israelis brutally murdered in the October 7 Hamas terror attacks.
The funding drive is led by the Ohio-based Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund, which according to the site ProPublica, brought in $21 million in donations in 2021 and had assets of $38 million that same year. So far, they’ve hauled in $7.8 million in the newest effort.
Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ) found it horrifying.

Two things make the move questionable: one, Emhoff appears to have ignored the carnage Hamas inflicted on babies, entire families, and innocent civilians in their surprise attack. Two, Hamas is notorious for stealing aid, so these types of efforts might inadvertently end up funding terrorists.
