The New York judge who imposed a $454 million judgment against Donald Trump in his fraud trial ordered the Republican presumptive presidential nominee to inform the court of any attempt to secure a bond ahead of Monday’s deadline.
Judge Arthur Engoron in his order, filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, said the Trump Organization needs to provide details on any attempt to secure a bond to the court-appointed monitor, former federal Judge Barbara Jones.
“The Trump Organization shall inform the Monitor, in advance, of any efforts to secure surety bonds,” Engoron said in his order, as well as “any personal guarantees made by any of the Defendants,” according to NBC News.

(CNN) — The New York attorney general’s office has filed judgments in Westchester County, the first indication that the state is preparing to try to seize Donald Trump’s golf course and private estate north of Manhattan, known as Seven Springs.
State lawyers entered the judgments with the clerk’s office in Westchester County on March 6, just one week after Judge Arthur Engoron made official his $464 million decision against Trump, his sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, and the Trump Organization.
Entering a judgment would be the first step a creditor would take to attempt to recover property. Additional steps, such as putting liens on assets or moving to foreclose on properties, or taking other actions in court would follow, if the asset is going to be seized.
The judgment is already entered in New York city where Trump’s properties including Trump Tower, his penthouse at Trump Tower, 40 Wall Street, his hotel abutting Central Park, and numerous apartment buildings are located.

Donald Trump has three main ways to avoid the liquidation of his real estate assets in New York following a civil fraud trial ruling, according to a legal analyst.
The former president and presumptive 2024 Republican nominee has until Monday to secure a $464 million bond or face the prospect of property and asset seizures.
Last fall, New York Judge Arthur Engoron found Trump liable for fraud and ordered him to pay a penalty of $355 million, which ultimately was increased to $454 million when interest was tacked on, as part of the civil fraud lawsuit filed by New York Attorney General Letitia James against Trump, his adult sons, and members of the Trump Organization.
On Monday, Trump’s legal counsel said in a filing in a New York appeals court that they have been “unsuccessful in our effort to obtain a bond.” That has included “diligent efforts” in approaching about 30 surety companies through four separate brokers, to no avail.
