Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu came out swinging against liberal media networks whose journalists were caught embedded in photographs with Hamas terrorists during the October 7 attack.
On Thursday, Netanyahu called the photojournalists “accomplices in crimes against humanity,” condemning mainstream media outlets—Reuters, The Associated Press, CNN, and The New York Times— for working with known terrorist groups.
The National Public Diplomacy Directorate in the Prime Minister’s Office views with utmost gravity that photojournalists working with international media joined in covering the brutal acts of murder perpetrated by Hamas terrorists on Saturday, October 7, in the communities adjacent to the Gaza Strip. These journalists were accomplices in crimes against humanity; their actions were contrary to professional ethics.
Overnight, the Government Press Office issued an urgent letter to the bureau chiefs of the media organizations that employed these photographers and sought clarifications on the matter. The National Public Diplomacy Directorate demands that immediate action be taken.
Shortly after the news broke out, Israel Minister of Communications Dr. Shlomo Karhi wrote a scathing letter to the liberal outlets, demanding they decide if they stand “on the side of life and good” or “on the side of depraved terrorism, inhumanity, and evil.”

RELATED: New York Times Denies Photographer Accompanied Hamas to October 7 Attacks

The New York Times issued a statement Thursday denying that photographer Yousef Masoud had accompanied Hamas terrorists to the October 7 terror attack on Israel, among other photographers identified by the pro-Israel watchdog Honest Reporting.
HonestReporting’s sensational report pointed out that photographers from several prominent news outlets and agencies appeared to have had unusually good access to the Hamas terrorists and were present when they left and reentered Gaza.
In several photographs, photographers are seen taking pictures of Hamas terrorists kidnapping Israeli hostages. They do not seem threatened — despite the fact that Hamas was shooting every other civilian in sight — nor do they attempt to intervene.

RELATED: The US media’s moral blindness over Hamas is showing, and it isn’t pretty
Published November 6, 2023
In the clearest moral test in a generation, much of the U.S. media is failing. And not just by a little — they are failing spectacularly.
On Oct. 7, the Palestinian terrorist organization
Hamas murdered an estimated 1,400 Israelis, many of whom were civilians, and kidnapped nearly 250 others to use as hostages. From the air, land and sea, Hamas terrorists targeted men, women, children, infants and the elderly.
Some Israelis were shot. Some were burned to death. Some were killed with explosives. Some were tortured and maimed. Some were raped and then murdered. The list of atrocities, many of which have been confirmed independent of Israeli officials, goes on and on.
Israel has since responded with military force, vowing to root out and destroy Hamas.
In this specific moment, when Israel is responding militarily to the greatest single-day slaughter of Jews since Adolf Hitler’s suicide, the question of who committed evil and who is justified could not be any clearer. Indeed, it is rare that a story as clear-cut as this falls into one’s lap.
