Ohio Governor Who Vetoed Bill Blocking Protecting Minors and Girls’ Sports Took $40K From Pro-Trans Hospitals

The Gateway Pundit reported that on Friday, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine vetoed House Bill 68, which sought to prohibit gender-affirming care for minors and to restrict transgender athletes’ participation in girls’ and women’s sports.

House Bill 68 proposed to ban physicians from providing gender-affirming care, such as puberty blockers and hormone therapy, to trans youth and would prohibit gender reassignment surgeries for minors. It also sought to bar transgender girls from competing in female sports categories.

DeWine told reporters that the ban would do “more harm than good.”

“These are truly complex issues, and reasonable people draw vastly different conclusions,” DeWine said during a press conference on Friday. “This bill would impact a very small number of Ohio’s children, but for those children who face gender dysphoria, and for their families, the consequences of this could not be more profound.”

DeWine claimed that parents of “transgender” children told him that their kids would have committed suicide without sex change procedures.

“Ultimately, I believe this is about protecting human life,” DeWine said. “Many parents have told me that their child would not have survived — would be dead today — if they had not received the treatment they received from one of Ohio’s children’s hospitals.”

“I’ve also been told by those who are now grown adults that, but for this care, they would have taken their lives when they were teenagers,” DeWine continued.

The Federalist Papers now reports that it appears DeWine took more than $40,000 from pro-trans hospitals.

RELATED: Conservatives Attack Ohio Republican Gov. For His Radical Transgender Bill

December 30, 2023

Several Republicans are attacking Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R-OH) for failing to protect children from the Left’s radical agenda.

On Friday, DeWine vetoed the “Saving Adolescents from Experimentation (SAFE) Act,” which would have banned gender-reassignment treatment for minors and blocked transgender athletes from participating in female sports.

Following DeWine’s decision, many prominent Republicans from the state came out swinging against the governor, who accused him of abandoning conservative values.

Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) called on DeWine’s veto to be overturned, claiming his justification was nothing more than a slogan for the radical Left.

“This is very simple. We have a duty to protect the safety and fair competition for female athletes and to protect children from being subjected to permanent, life-altering medical procedures before the age of 18,” Republican Secretary of State Frank LaRose of Ohio said. “The state legislature should do the right thing and override this veto!”

GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy also criticized the governor for stopping a bill that would have protected children from the Left’s indoctrination efforts.

SAFE Act would ban gender-reassignment treatment for minors, block trans athletes from female sports

Published December 30, 2023

Conservatives online torched Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, a Republican, over his veto of a state bill to protect women’s sports.

The bill, the Save Adolescents from Experimentation (SAFE) Act, passed the GOP-controlled state legislature but was vetoed by DeWine on Friday.

The SAFE Act would have barred sex change treatments for minors while blocking transgender women and girls from participating in female sports leagues in Ohio.

“Were I to sign Substitute House Bill 68 or were Substitute House Bill 68 to become law, Ohio would be saying that the State, that the government, knows what is best medically for a child rather than the two people who love that child the most, the parents,” DeWine said in his veto message.

“While there are rare times in the law, in other circumstances, where the State overrules the medical decisions made by the parents, I can think of no example where this is done not only against the decision of the parents, but also against the medical judgment of the treating physician and the treating team of medical experts,” he continued.

The veto did not sit well with conservatives online, who blasted DeWine over the move.

“This is a slogan, not a justification,” Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, posted Friday on X. “There are many things the law rightfully says no one, including parents, may do to children.”

Why do CO2 lag behind temperature?

71% of the earth is covered by ocean, water is a 1000 times denser than air and the mass of the oceans are 360 times that of the atmosphere, small temperature changes in the oceans doesn’t only modulate air temperature, but it also affect the CO2 level according to Henry’s Law.

The reason it is called “Law” is because it has been “proven”!

“.. scientific laws describe phenomena that the scientific community has found to be provably true ..”

That means, the graph proves CO2 do not control temperature, that again proves (Man Made) Global Warming, now called “Climate Change” due to lack of … Warming is – again – debunked!
