Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan raged against Israel in a speech given before a pro-Palestinian rally on Saturday in Istanbul. He said he is preparing to introduce Israel as a “war criminal” on a world stage, at a moment the debate over Gaza continues heating up at the United Nations.
Erdogan said: “Israel, we will also declare you as a war criminal to the world, we are preparing for it, and we will introduce Israel to the world as a war criminal,” according to a state broadcaster. Footage of the event shows that the turnout was huge, in the hundreds of thousands or possibly over 100,000 people gathered in the capital.
He stressed that the West is busy justifying the massacre of innocent people in Gaza, as the civilian death toll soars, saying “Israel is committing war crimes” as an “occupier.” He added: the “West owes you, but Türkiye does not owe you.”
“Those shedding crocodile tears for civilians killed in the Ukraine-Russia war are silently watching the deaths of thousands of innocent children in Gaza,” he critiqued further, highlighting the double standard.
“I am asking West, do you want to create another Crusader War atmosphere?” Erdogan questioned, before saying provocatively: “The main culprit behind the massacre unfolding in Gaza is the West.”
“Of course, every country has the right to defend itself, but where is justice? There is no defense but an open, and vicious massacre going on in Gaza.” He went after Western elites and their ability to dress up everything they say in human rights rhetoric but which proves shallow:
Everyone knows that Israel is a pawn in the region that will be sacrificed when the time comes, he added.
“I said in Davos, you know how to kill. They know well how to kill.”
Erdogan continues, “We are saddened for every civilian in any way, but Israel does not care.”

Thousands gathered in Istanbul on Saturday for what was touted as the “Great Palestine Meeting.” The event was a pro-Palestine rally aimed at condemning Israel’s recent military actions in Gaza, where Hamas headquarters are located.
Hamas terrorists were responsible for a deadly attack that claimed the lives of 1,400 Jews in southern Israel. One must ask the question: What did people expect Israel to do in response? Not retaliate? When an entity like Hamas, designated as a terrorist organization by the United States, the European Union, and Israel, engages in violent acts aimed at killing civilians, it is not only Israel’s right but also its obligation to defend its citizens.
The Israeli Ministry of Defense and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have issued an urgent warning to the United Nations and its staff and informed Palestinians living north of Wadi Gaza to evacuate within 24 hours to the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
In a direct message to the residents of Gaza, the Prime Minister said, “Leave now because we will operate forcefully everywhere.”
However, Hamas terrorists urged Palestinians to ignore the Israel Defense Forces’ (IDF) urgent evacuation notice for civilians in northern Gaza, labeling it as “fake propaganda.”
These evil people really wanted the civilians to stay and die. The IDF has stated that Hamas deliberately hides military targets in residential buildings and civilian areas, even using children as human shields.
Hamas understands that it must present itself as the victor and victim in their war against Israel. They want more Palestinians to die to further their cause and their propaganda.
At the Istanbul rally, attendees expressed their outrage over Israel’s military actions but conveniently skipped over Hamas’ initial deadly assault. There was no concern shown for the 220 Jewish hostages being held by Hamas.

Israel on Saturday said it was pulling its diplomats out of Turkey to “reassess relations” as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan continued to lash the Jewish state for its actions in the Gaza Strip.
“In light of the escalating rhetoric from Turkey, I have instructed the return of diplomatic representatives from Turkey in order to reassess Israel-Turkey relations,” Foreign Minister Eli Cohen said in a statement.
His announcement came as Erdogan told a mass pro-Palestinian rally in Istanbul on Saturday that his country was making preparations to proclaim Israel a “war criminal” for its actions in Gaza.
In his address to hundreds of thousands of people who joined the rally, Erdogan also held Western countries responsible for the deaths in Gaza for failing to stop Israeli attacks.
“Israel, we will proclaim you as a war criminal to the world,” Erdogan said. “We are making our preparations, and we will declare Israel to the world as a war criminal.”

The radical Islamist president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, defended the genocidal terrorist organization Hamas in an incendiary address on Wednesday in which he abruptly canceled a planned visit to Israel in light of the horrific Hamas mass murder of over 1,400 people on October 7.
The terrorist onslaught, which Hamas has branded the “al-Aqsa flood,” was characterized by Hamas terrorists flooding Israeli residential communities, torturing, raping, abducting, and killing entire families. First responders to the communities targeted found children with knives left in their bodies, decapitated and charred babies, and unrecognizable body parts. At a music festival taking place in Israel that day, Hamas terrorists opened fire on attendees, leaving a pile of upwards of 250 bodies.
While much of the world has condemned the brutality of the Hamas attack, much of the Arab and Muslim world has sought to justify it as a legitimate response to the existence of Israel. The “supreme leader” of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei, proclaimed that even the infants slaughtered were “not civilians.” At a summit on Sunday in Cairo, Egypt, Arab leaders reportedly blocked the publication of a joint communique on the grounds that Western powers participating wanted to overtly condemn Hamas for the killings.
