Israel warns war in Gaza will continue ‘throughout 2024’ – as Hamas launches barrage of rockets across the border on the dot of midnight

Israel has warned that the war in Gaza will continue in 2024 as Hamas launched a barrage of rockets across the border on the dot of midnight.

Daniel Hagari, spokesman for the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said in a new year’s message that Israeli troops were preparing for continued fighting in 2024.

‘The IDF must plan ahead out of an understanding that there will be additional missions and the fighting will continue the rest of the year,’ he said according to the BBC.

This comes as Hamas fired a barrage of rockets at Israel just as the clock struck midnight and two dozen people killed overnight in Israeli strikes on the Palestinian territory.

Air alert sirens sounded across Israel as 2024 began, and journalists in Tel Aviv witnessed missile defence systems intercepting rockets overhead, with some revellers in the streets below rushing for cover while others kept up the party with a shrug.

‘We were all afraid on the corners… my heart was pounding,’ Gabriel Zemelman, 26, said in front of a bar after the rocket fire. ‘It’s terrifying. You just saw the life we live, it’s crazy.’

The Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, claimed responsibility for the attack in a video published on social media, saying they had fired M90 rockets in ‘response to the massacres of civilians’ carried out by Israel.

The Israeli army confirmed the attack, without initially reporting any casualties or damage.

Surrounded by partiers, server Ran Stahl, 24, said he didn’t have the heart to celebrate, not since one of his friends was killed in Hamas’s attack on the Supernova music festival.

RELATED: Palestinian Terrorists Ring in New Year 2024 with Rocket Barrage at Israeli Cities

Published December 31, 2023

Palestinian terrorists rang in the New Year on Sunday evening by firing a large barrage of rockets at Israeli cities at midnight, in a statement of defiance against the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) advance deep into the Gaza Strip.

According to the Cumta Telegram channel, which tracks Israel’s Red Alert system, the barrage targeted the cities along the corridor from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, just seconds after 12:00 a.m.

Most of the rockets appear to have been intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system.

RELATED: Netanyahu says Israel-Hamas war will continue for ‘many more months’ as 2023 drew to a close

Mr Netanyahu’s comments signal no let-up in a campaign that has killed thousands and levelled much of Gaza.()

At a news conference on Saturday, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the war would continue for “many more months” and that Israel would assume control of the Gaza side of the border with Egypt.

Mr Netanyahu said Israel must take full control of the Gaza Strip border corridor with Egypt to ensure a “demilitarisation” of the area.

His comments signal no let-up in a campaign that has killed thousands and levelled much of Gaza, while his vow to restore Israeli control over the enclave’s border with Egypt raises new questions over an eventual two-state solution.

Fighting raged across central Gaza a day after Mr Netanyahu’s comments, with at least 35 Palestinians killed by Israeli strikes, hospital officials said.

Israeli jets intensified attacks on central Gaza on Sunday, residents and medics said, as battles raged through the rubble of towns and refugee camps.

Air strikes pounded Al-Maghazi and Al-Bureij in the centre of Gaza, killing 10 people in one house and driving more to flee to Rafah on the border with Egypt from front lines where Israeli tanks are battling Hamas fighters.

A Red Crescent video published on Sunday showed rescuers working in the dark to carry an injured child from smoking rubble in central Gaza.

Six people died in a strike on the village of Al-Mughraqa outside Gaza City, health officials said.

Why do CO2 lag behind temperature?

71% of the earth is covered by ocean, water is a 1000 times denser than air and the mass of the oceans are 360 times that of the atmosphere, small temperature changes in the oceans doesn’t only modulate air temperature, but it also affect the CO2 level according to Henry’s Law.

The reason it is called “Law” is because it has been “proven”!

“.. scientific laws describe phenomena that the scientific community has found to be provably true ..”

That means, the graph proves CO2 do not control temperature, that again proves (Man Made) Global Warming, now called “Climate Change” due to lack of … Warming is – again – debunked!
